Setting up your Babysense Touch camera for the first time — or re-pairing it after a reset — takes just a few minutes when the steps are followed in order.
Before You Start
- Confirm your Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz (the Touch cannot currently join 5GHz networks). If your router shows one combined network name, check your router settings or app for a way to view or select the 2.4GHz band specifically.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone — the app uses it to discover the camera during setup.
- Have your Wi-Fi password ready.
Step 1: Put the Camera in Pairing Mode
Press and hold the reset button on the camera until you see a flashing indicator light. This confirms the camera is ready to be discovered by the app.
Step 2: Open the App and Start Setup
Open the Babysense Smart Nursery app and follow the on-screen prompts to add a new camera.
Step 3: Approve Permissions
When prompted, tap Allow for both:
- Bluetooth — required to find the camera
- Location — required by the phone's operating system for Bluetooth device discovery to work
If you accidentally deny either one, go to your phone's Settings → Babysense and update the permissions there, then restart setup.
Step 4: Keep Your Phone Close to the Camera
Stay within a few feet of the camera during pairing so the two devices can find each other easily.
Step 5: Enter Your Wi-Fi Details
Select your 2.4GHz network and enter your password when prompted.
Step 6: Complete Setup
Once connected, the app will confirm the camera is paired and online.
