Keeping your Babysense Touch up to date ensures you have the latest features and performance improvements.
Checking for an Update
- Open the Babysense Smart Nursery app.
- Go to your camera's settings from the app menu.
- If a firmware update is available, you'll see a prompt or update option here.
Note: Although separate from the parent unit Firmware updates, Babysense Smart Nursery application updates are also available and important for best performance.
Installing an Update
- Make sure the camera is connected to stable Wi-Fi and plugged into power before starting.
- Tap to begin the update and keep the app open until it completes.
- Do not unplug the camera or close the app during the update — interrupting it midway can cause the update to fail.
If an Update Fails
- Power cycle the camera (unplug 10 seconds, reconnect) and try again.
- Move the camera closer to your router — a weak connection is the most common cause of failed updates.
- Restart the app and check the camera's settings again to see if the update is still pending.
- If the app shows the same update prompt repeatedly after a completed install, force-close and reopen the app to refresh its status.
