How to perform the Daily Performance Test on my Babysense Connect

The Daily Performance Test ensures that your Babysense Connect monitor is functioning properly. This test must be performed daily and whenever you move the monitor, change bedding, or relocate the crib or bed.

Important Safety Note

⚠️ Do not conduct the performance test by picking the baby up out of the crib/bed and waiting for the alarm to sound. The test must always be done when the baby is not in the crib or bed.

How to Perform the Test

  1. Make sure the baby is not in the crib/bed.

  2. Turn the device ON.

  3. Take two steps away from the bed.

  4. Wait for the alarm to sound within 20 seconds (this indicates the absence of movement).

    • The alarm may sound with or without preliminary ticking.

  5. Verify that the alarm can be clearly heard in all locations throughout the home or place of care.

  6. Ensure that the Babysense Connect Control Unit is hung with the LEDs facing outward, so they are easily visible.

  • The Daily Performance Test must be conducted:

    • Once per day

    • Every time you move the monitor

    • After changing bedding

    • When relocating the crib/bed

  • The test can also be conducted through the Babysense App, where it appears as the “Environmental Test.”

Key Benefits

  • Confirms that your Babysense Connect is functioning properly

  • Ensures alarm audibility throughout your home

  • Provides peace of mind with daily safety checks

Doing the Daily Performance Test helps you feel confident that your Babysense Connect is working exactly as it should. Taking a minute each day or after adjusting your crib or monitor gives you peace of mind that your little one is always being safely monitored.
