If your Parent Unit is losing connection to one or more cameras, or displays a "No Signal" or Connection Lost message, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Choose the section that matches your setup.
If You Have One Camera Paired
Step 1: Quick Check
Before troubleshooting further:
- Move the camera and Parent Unit closer together.
- Try swapping their locations to rule out interference or obstacles affecting the signal.
- Ensure the Parent Unit antenna is fully extended.
If the connection issue continues, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Reset the Parent Unit
- Disconnect both the Camera and Parent Unit from their power adapters.
- Locate the Reset hole on the back of the Parent Unit, beneath the kickstand.
- Using a paperclip or another thin, non-sharp object, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
- Raise the Parent Unit antenna fully.
- Reconnect the power and allow the Parent Unit to restart.
If the issue persists, continue to Step 3.
Step 3: Test the Power Adapters
- Swap the power adapters between the Camera and the Parent Unit.
- Allow the Parent Unit to charge for 15–30 minutes.
- Turn the Parent Unit back on and check whether the connection has been restored.
If changing the adapter resolves the issue, the original power adapter may be faulty.
If You Have Two or More Cameras Paired
Multiple cameras may be affected by environmental interference or signal conditions.
Step 1: Check for Interference
Wireless devices operating on the 2.4 GHz frequency can affect your monitor's signal.
Examples include:
- Wi-Fi routers
- Cordless phones
- Wireless speakers
- Bluetooth transmitters
- Other baby monitors
To improve signal quality:
- Keep these devices at least 5 feet (1.5 metres) away from the Parent Unit and cameras.
- Move the cameras and Parent Unit closer together.
- Try changing their locations to avoid walls, large metal objects, or appliances.
- Ensure the Parent Unit antenna is fully extended.
If the problem continues, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Reset the Parent Unit
- Disconnect the Camera(s) and Parent Unit from power.
- Locate the Reset hole beneath the Parent Unit kickstand.
- Using a paperclip or another thin, non-sharp object, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
- Raise the antenna fully.
- Reconnect the power and allow the Parent Unit to restart.
If the connection issue remains, continue to Step 3.
Step 3: Test the Power Adapters
- Swap the power adapters between the Camera and Parent Unit.
- Allow the Parent Unit to charge for 15–30 minutes.
- Turn the Parent Unit back on and verify whether the cameras reconnect successfully.
If changing the adapter resolves the issue, the original power adapter may be faulty.
