What is Scan Mode?
Scan Mode allows the parent unit to automatically cycle through all paired cameras, giving you a view of each camera without having to switch manually.
This feature is especially useful if you have two or more cameras monitoring different rooms or areas. While Scan Mode is enabled, the parent unit displays each camera for a few seconds before automatically moving to the next paired camera.
How Scan Mode Works
When Scan Mode is turned ON:
- The parent unit displays the first paired camera.
- After a few seconds, it automatically switches to the next paired camera.
- The monitor continues cycling through all paired cameras in sequence.
- The cycle repeats continuously until Scan Mode is turned off.
Note: Scan Mode is only available when two or more cameras are paired with your parent unit.
How to Activate Scan Mode
To turn Scan Mode On
- Press and hold the CAMERA SWITCH button.
- A "SCAN MODE ON" message will appear on the screen.
- A loop icon will appear next to the camera number at the top of the LCD screen.
- The parent unit will begin automatically cycling through each paired camera every 15–20 seconds.
To turn Scan Mode OFF
- Press the CAMERA SWITCH button once.
- The parent unit will stop cycling through the cameras and remain on the currently displayed camera.
Why Use Scan Mode?
Scan Mode helps you:
- Monitor multiple rooms without manually changing cameras.
- Keep an eye on multiple children or sleeping areas.
- View each camera automatically in a continuous cycle.
- Enjoy hands-free monitoring throughout your home.
When Should I Use Scan Mode?
Scan Mode is ideal when:
- You have multiple children sleeping in different rooms.
- You have additional cameras set up in different areas of your home.
- You want to monitor several locations without pressing any buttons.
If you only have one paired camera, Scan Mode is not necessary, as the monitor will continue displaying that camera.
Things to Keep in Mind
Scan Mode cycles through all paired cameras. Each camera is displayed for a few seconds before switching to the next. You can exit Scan Mode at any time to view a single camera continuously. Audio monitoring follows the camera currently being displayed (unless your model includes Audio Scan or Auto Audio features).
Helpful Reminder
Scan Mode works best with multiple paired cameras. If you only have one camera paired, enabling Scan Mode will not change the viewing experience.
