Noticed that your camera view sometimes goes dark or the lighting changes frequently? You’re not alone—and there’s a simple explanation.
Both Fullpeek and SEE+ cameras are designed with an automatic night mode, which means the camera adjusts to lighting conditions on its own. This is a helpful feature that allows the camera to switch between day and night vision without you having to lift a finger.
However, in some environments—especially where light levels change often or are inconsistent (like near a window or hallway)—this can cause the camera to switch back and forth between modes. As a result, you might see:
- A brief black screen during transitions
- Sudden changes in brightness
- Infrared mode activating or deactivating repeatedly
What You Can Do
If you notice frequent changes that are distracting or causing concern, here are a few tips:
- Check the lighting: If possible, stabilize the light in the room. For example, avoid placing the camera directly facing a window or a flickering night light.
-
Adjust the night vision setting:
You can change the night vision mode in the camera settings to ON / OFF / AUTO, depending on your preference and the environment. - Positioning matters: Try adjusting the angle or location of the camera to reduce sudden changes in lighting.
Your camera is working as designed—but sometimes a small adjustment can make a big difference in your viewing experience.
