Babysense Smart Nursery – Troubleshooting Push Notification Issues

Are you not receiving alerts or push notifications from the Babysense Smart Nursery app?
Don’t worry—here’s a quick guide to help you get them working again.

🔔 Default Notification Settings

By default, all notifications for all supported Babysense devices—Babysense Connect, Dreamer, SEE+ Camera, and Fullpeek Camera—are enabled. This includes alerts for movement, sound, cry, fell asleep, and other key events.

However, to receive notifications successfully, two things must happen:

  1. Permissions must be granted on your mobile device (iOS/Android).
  2. Notifications must remain enabled in the app’s notification screen.

✅ Step 1: Check App Notification Settings

  1. Open the Babysense Smart Nursery app.
  2. Go to the Notifications screen.
  3. Make sure all relevant alerts are switched ON.

If they are turned OFF, simply toggle them ON.

 

For example, see below Notification Settings for the Fullpeek camera:

🔔 You will only receive alerts when the app is not actively open on your screen. If you're using the app in real-time (e.g., live view), push notifications will not appear. 


✅ Step 2: Allow Notifications from Your Device Settings

📱 On iPhone (iOS):

  1. Go to Phone Settings > select Apps > choose Babysense App.
  2. Select Notifications.
  3. Make sure “Allow Notifications” is turned ON.
  4. Choose your preferred style (banners, sounds, etc.).

🤖 On Android:

  1. Go to Phone Settings > select Apps > choose Babysense App, or long-press the Babysense App > click information icon
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Make sure the "Allow notifications" is enabled
  4. Make sure all notification types are enabled in "Notification categories"

🔄 Still Not Working?

If notifications are still not appearing:

  • Reopen the app and recheck the in-app notification settings.
  • Restart your phone.
  • If permissions were denied during the initial app installation:
    • Go to device settings and manually re-enable permissions.
    • Or delete and reinstall the app, then allow permissions when prompted.

💡 Tip: Keeping notifications active is crucial to getting real-time alerts for your baby’s safety and comfort.
